The Mock Model ASEAN 2024

The Diplomacy Club successfully organized the Mock Model ASEAN 2024 in collaboration with the Singapore (Cambodia) International School on the 26th of October 2024.

The Mock Model ASEAN 2024 (MMA24) is a simulation of an actual Model ASEAN meeting, supporting the Model ASEAN Meeting at AUPP 2025 (MAMA).

The Diplomacy Club invited outstanding students from diverse backgrounds from both high schools and universities to participate in the Mock Model ASEAN 2024.

The club is thrilled to support the next generation in enhancing their knowledge and honing their soft skills, particularly in preparation for participating in Model United Nations and Model ASEAN meetings.

Partnership with 5th Model ASEAN Meeting at AUPP (MAMA)

The Diplomacy Club and the Organizing Committee (OC) of the 5th Model ASEAN Meeting at AUPP (MAMA) had struck an agreement of cooperation.

Thus marks the beginning of a partnership. We recognize that it is important to support other organizations looking to arrange their own events, as such we discussed and came to an agreement of cooperation.

The Diplomacy Club sends their regards to the Organizing Committee and wishes them the best in their endeavors.

Zepeto Test for the WHO

During July, a representative from the Regional Office for the Western Pacific of the World Health Organization (WHO) reached out to the Diplomacy Club inviting us to participate in a beta test.

The platform for the beta test is on the Zepeto app. Its purpose is to invite young people to conduct a test to see if it's a suitable platform to develop policies and action plans via surveys. Topics of discussion included policies on hunger, poverty, conservation, climate change, and the future of humanity as a whole. Such answers will be forwarded to the governments of the Western Pacific in order to be implemented and ensure a better future for their youths.

We are grateful to the WHO for inviting us to participate in their beta test.

3rd Model United Nations at AUPP

After half a year of preparation, we were able to organize the 3rd Model United Nations at AUPP. Said event served as the catalyst that led to the founding of the Diplomacy Club.

The theme of the topic discusses issues that aren't mainstream such as environmental implications of a melting Arctic, threats of cybersecurity, the Haitian crisis etc.

With the combined efforts of more than 40 members and 3 major sponsors, Manulife, Kofi, and Vital, we were able to organize an event for 115 people in 3 days.

To this day, it still is the largest Model event ever held at AUPP.
